Use this when you need a safe, public checklist before sending a member to a state, plan, or official doula directory.
- Step 1Confirm the member's Medicaid state and whether the member is in fee-for-service or managed care in the payer system.
- Step 2Use the state's official doula program, registry, directory, or plan source before naming a provider.
- Step 3Tell the member to confirm that the doula accepts the member's Medicaid plan before scheduling.
- Step 4Keep names, IDs, dates of birth, service dates, and clinical notes out of emails and public forms unless your organization has its own compliant workflow.
