Program requirements

  • Program: New York Medicaid doula services
  • Referral or recommendation: Use the current statewide standing order or another valid practitioner order; use Z32.2 for prenatal/labor and Z32.3 for postpartum where the eMedNY fee schedule requires it.
  • Registry or provider setup: Enroll as an individual or group eMedNY doula provider before billing FFS or contracting with Medicaid Managed Care plans.
  • Payer path: eMedNY for FFS; member's Medicaid Managed Care plan for MMC dates of service
