Recent updates

2026-07-14

Kept Massachusetts billing unavailable

Massachusetts coverage information and official sources remain available. Paid reviews, billing rates, and claim tools stay unavailable.

2026-07-14

Fixed old search links

Old search links now open the matching public page.

2026-07-13

Clarified paid order and refund status

Review Desk now shows completed paid orders, refund balances, and follow-up eligibility. A full refund stops review work and delivery notices.

2026-07-13

Clarified review choices and support

Review Desk now shows the main provider review choices, supported states, prices, and delivery times in one place. Signed-in customers can request account, payment, refund, or deletion help without entering a message or uploading a file.

2026-07-12

Made State Watch free

Signed-in providers can save one state, review official billing-source changes, and export the reviewed update list. Paid reviews now require a complete reviewer check before delivery.

2026-07-12Opened billing-company applications

Billing companies may apply for Washington ProviderOne or Michigan CHAMPS work. Applying does not approve a company, create a contract, promise referrals, or authorize access to provider, patient, or claim information.

2026-07-11Opened Washington and Michigan billing-pilot applications

Eligible Washington and Michigan Medicaid providers may apply for a first-submission pilot by email. Michigan Medicaid Health Plans are not included. No billing company has been selected, and billing service is not active.

2026-07-11Added payer-specific review limits

Oregon launch plans are available only for Open Card fee-for-service. Pennsylvania plans are limited to eligible PROMISe fee-for-service groups, and Virginia plans are limited to fee-for-service. Unsupported managed-care options remain unavailable.

2026-07-11Added paid reviews in eight states

Connecticut, the District of Columbia, Illinois, Minnesota, New York, Ohio, Oregon, and Pennsylvania now have paid Review Desk options. Each state shows only the reviews supported by its current official sources.

2026-07-10Added paid reviews in five states

Kansas, Maryland, Oklahoma, South Dakota, and Virginia now have paid Review Desk options. Service-level reviews remain unavailable where official sources do not support them.

2026-07-10Added the Provider Readiness Map

The $149 Provider Readiness Map turns provider setup answers into a written list of gaps, responsible people, next actions, completion checks, and official sources. The result is available as a PDF and text file.

2026-07-10Removed client and claim records

DoulaPaid now focuses on provider setup, public billing rules, and written readiness reviews. Client records, claims, documents, payer messages, and free-text case details are not accepted.

2026-07-09Improved State Watch signup and checkout

Pricing now explains State Watch access earlier and shows recent reviewed updates. Stripe can send a recovery link for an abandoned checkout without storing client details.

2026-07-08Updated state billing sources

State guides now show source review dates and keep unverified rates or billing steps unavailable until an official source confirms them.

2026-07-02Expanded State Watch emails

State Watch emails can now cover one state, every state, or general DoulaPaid news. Emails go only to people who separately opted in and can be written for free users, members, or organizations.

2026-06-23Clarified that DoulaPaid is private

The website and Google Play listing now say that DoulaPaid is not a government service. They link to official sources and do not promise reimbursement.

2026-06-22Added billing-code warnings

Billing-code pages now warn when modifiers have different meanings by state. Verified state rates and codes did not change.

2026-06-21Protected public pages and downloads

Public pages no longer load account details. PDF downloads are unavailable for unknown states and stay out of search results.

2026-06-18Improved sign-in and billing resources

Sign-in now opens paid tools directly. Resources are grouped by task, managed-care links are easier to find, and the browser tab uses the DoulaPaid icon.

2026-06-10Added multi-state billing guides

State and denial pages now use state-specific billing rules. Washington supports unit-based rates, and Oregon supports its published global-fee model.
