Are doulas covered by Medicaid?
The short answer is: sometimes. As of July 2026, DoulaPaid tracks 28 states plus the District of Columbia as covering doula services through Medicaid. That does not mean every Medicaid member in every state can use any doula and expect the claim to pay.
